How has Holocaust education changed? Do we need a Holocaust education week? What about Holocaust education in the 21st century?
I will try to answer these and other questions in my new book. The whole week was characterized by further preparations for the new book:
“Hatred of Jews - A Failure of Holocaust Education?”

Last Saturday I got the missing four chapters back from the proof reader and spent the whole Sunday getting the manuscript ready for the publisher to work with.
On Monday I went to the publisher, made short arrangements with various emails back and forth. On Thursday I was finally able to sign the contract after it had been sent to me. Now my baby is with the experts to create the book block.
I have also put together my media kit for the book. The links are still missing, but then it will be ready. And I also built my Speakers Media Kit: layout, compilation, texts... I am slowly becoming a PR pro...
There will be a reading sample in this monthly January newsletter, for all those who can hardly wait 😊 Here you can find more information about the book, a press release in advance and if you scroll down a bit, you can also sign up for the newsletter: https://www.melaniecarinaschmoll.com/
I have also coordinated my dates for the trip to Canada - again, it was a case of waiting, waiting and waiting again, asking and waiting for feedback and final confirmations. But my plan is slowly taking shape.
In addition, several videos for which I wrote the scripts have been produced and uploaded this week. Here is an example on the topic “The area of Wilhelm II” https://learnattack.de/geschichte/deutschlands-aussenpolitik-vor-dem-ersten-weltkrieg#video-das-wilhelminische-zeitalter
And since the big book project is in its final stages, I have been looking for new commissions, holding introductory talks and landing new projects.
I am also pleased that my authors have woken up from hibernation and are creating new tests for the online learning platform 😉
Many thanks also to the Holocaust Educational Foundation of Northwestern University, which mentioned my book https://www.melaniecarinaschmoll.com/post/new-book-school-textbook-research-misinformation-and-antisemitic-views

And as far as big politics is concerned: despite all the prophecies of doom, the German paper industry has managed to print the election information for us voters! Yeah, Mr. Scholz, that was probably no reason to delay the election any longer. I think that is what you call punishing someone for lying!
Of course, that does not change the fact that I am finding it harder than ever to vote. I thought it could not get any worse after the election 3.5 years ago, but it got worse... I studied politics and am a historian and I am really struggling with this. I really do not know what to do.
